How does car-sharing work?

  • please download the application -> https://vamooos.eu/download
  • register yourself in the application (upload your driving licence and ID card)
  • once it is verified (usually it takes 5-15 min) you can link your credit card or Google wallet to make payments
  • now you can see the map with the locations where the cars are parked
  • select a car you want to take and reserve it (20 min reservation is free of charge)
  • you reach out to the car and open it using the application
  • the keys are inside the car

How much do You pay for car-sharing?

Option 1 – Pay-as-you-go

*The prices here are approximate, the current price you can see in the App.

  • 0,49€ – one time fixed fee
  • 0,29€ – per km
  • 0,36€ – per minute
  • 0,05€ – per minute for pause (you don’t drive but you keep it booked for yourself so no other user can take it)

Example: you need to drive from c. Naranja 4 (la Zenia area) to Hospital Torrevieja. Distance 7km, driving time 12 min. You will pay ->

0,49 (one time fee) + 0,29×7+0,36×12 = 6.84€ (one way). If you put the car on pause at the Hospital parking for 2h (120min) you use a pause function, the fee is 0,05×120 = 6€ . One day Hospital visit both ways is 6.84€x2+6€ = 19.68€. If you add other stops for farmacy, supermarkets etc.. you would be in a range of 25€ approximately.

There is a second option:

Option 2 – Package (1 day, 2 days, 3 days)

The pricing is the following:

  • 1 Day – 60€ (includes 80km, every extra km 0,29€)
  • 2 Days – 105€ (includes 80km, every extra km 0,29€)
  • 3 Days – 130€ (includes 80km, every extra km 0,29€)

No other extra fees.

Can I leave the car at the airport?

Unfortunately, it is not allowed to leave the car-sharing vehicle at the airport because it is outside of it’s Home Area (the area is highlighted on a map of the application). However, you can pause your ride there (in order to meet someone for example) and then resume your ride back to the Home Area.

Where can I leave the car?

You can finish your ride and leave the car within the Home Area which is shown in the App.

If you wish to go outside the Home Area you can pause the ride there for a temporary stop, but you need to return back to the Home Area to finish your ride.

Parking is allowed in any public, legal, on-street spots that do not require a private permit.

Where is it not allowed to leave the car?

  • Outside the Home Area. Vehicles must remain within Spain (or the permitted driving territory as stated in the terms). Parking abroad is not allowed. If you abandon the car outside the zone, recovery fees will apply.

  • In unsafe or inappropriate places. Do not park in places where the car might block traffic, entrances, or emergency services.

  • Private or restricted parking zones. Do not park in private garages, gated areas, or spaces that require resident permits.

  • No-Parking zones. Do not leave the car in areas where parking is prohibited or time-restricted (e.g., loading bays, disabled spaces without permit, bus lanes, emergency zones). Do not park where temporary restrictions are announce (markets, construction zones, event closures).

How long can I keep the car?

You can keep the car up to 3 days.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Driver has to be at least 25 years old.

Do I have to refuel the car before leaving it?

No, you don’t have to.

How do I report damage or cleanliness issues?

Please press the Report Damage button in the App and follow the instructions.

Am I covered by insurance while using the car?

You are covered by the third party insurance and also damage insurance with a 900€ deductible (basic coverage) you can buy additional coverage for 2€ and reduce the deductible to only 250€.

Who is responsible for traffic tickets or fines?

The driver responsible for all fines.

Can someone else drive the car I booked?

No, only approved driver can drive.

Can I transport pets or large items?

Yes, please use a pet box or carrier to transport your pet.

Clean after use, any pet dirt or damage will be subject to additional charges to the driver.

Are child seats available?

No. Please use your own child car seats or boosters.
